Do you remember when you were a kid and Santa (or your parents) got you an awesome new outfit for Christmas that you couldn’t wait to show off?

Well, some of us (raises hand) never outgrew that phase. The only difference is, now, no one’s buying those outfits for me.  And since I have to be my own Santa, I’m paying a lot more attention to those price tags then I did back then.

Thankfully, I always have Target for affordable style.

And since the holidays are just around the corner with plenty of opportunities to show off that cute new outfit, I’m rounding up some fabulous and affordable holiday styles from Target.

Cozy & Casual

If your family is anything like my family, holiday dinners are not a formal affair. Our family gatherings are fairly laid-back and center around plenty of Southern home-cooking.

That’s why either of these cozy and comfortable styles would be perfect for Thanksgiving dinner.

These green denim pants have a good amount of stretch (so you won’t feel like you’re suffocating after dinner) and have a small amount of distressing in the knee (enough to be casual but not enough to offend Grandma). I do recommend sizing down in these as my normal size was a little baggy.

And if there’s one style I love for Fall, it’s a chunky knit sweater. This brown, crew neck sweater is not at all itchy and is just oversized enough to look cute with or without a front tuck. The knit is slightly open so, if you’re a little more conservative, it may need an undershirt. Fits true to size and comes in several other colors.

This adorable oversized gold sweater is, sadly, not listed online quite yet (however, there is a rose pink version available). It is from the Wild Fable line and my local target had several sizes available. Size up one for a more off-the-shoulder fit.

Add Some On-Trend Colors

I’ve been loving all the warm, rich Fall colors trending this year. Golds, mustards, plum, burgundy, rust, forest green, and olive green…I’m here for it all.

This pleated, green sweater skirt was a favorite of mine in a previous try-on. On me it’s closer to ankle length but, for those who aren’t petite, it would hit closer to mid-calf. The material has plenty of stretch (so it’ll still be comfortable after a big meal) and the color is perfect for any holiday gathering. (I sized down for a little less length.)

Corduroy has been a major trend this season, making this tan pinafore perfect for the holidays. I paired it with this fitted long-sleeve turtleneck that comes in five other colors and my favorite cognac booties. The fit of this dress is a little loose, so I would say to size down.

Give It Some Sparkle

There’s something about the holidays that just begs for a little sparkle.

Wild Fable gave the standard LBD a little flair for this holiday season with a little glitter detail. I sized up one for a little extra length and a less-constricting fit. Fair warning, the glitter does shed some. To avoid stray specks of glitter clashing with your makeup, pull this one on from the bottom and not over your head. (Linked here.)

Pair it with a nice faux-leather moto jacket (size down) and strappy black heels for some fierce vibes at the office holiday party. Or, add a cute holiday-themed graphic tee for girl’s night out.

As usual, Target has several seasonal graphic tees for under $10. I sized up twice in this one for enough length to tie it.

Feminine & Flirty

By far my favorite item from this haul is this pleated white skirt. It’s fully lined, high-waisted, and has an elastic waistband. Like the green sweater skirt, it is closer to ankle-length on me (for reference, I’m 5′) but it’s designed to be midi-length. I also sized down in this one.

For a fun and feminine look, style it with a cute graphic tee and booties. This was by far my favorite look of the day and would be adorable for holiday photos.

Or, if you have a formal event on the calendar, pair it with this velvet cami, a faux-leather jacket, and open-toe booties for a flirty look with a little edge.
