5 Fun & Affordable Spring Trends

April showers might bring May flowers, but March is bringing all the fun Spring trends!

I’ve been obsessed with all the new styles hitting the stores this season and can’t wait to start rocking them. And, of course, I’m stocking my closet with styles that are fun and affordable.

Tie-Dye

 If you’ve walked into literally any store in the past month or scrolled through Instagram for even a few seconds, you’ve probably already realized that tie-dye is back in a big way. It’s by far one of my favorite trends this season (probably because I’m a 90’s baby and it brings back all the nostalgia feels). And it’s also one of the most affordable trends to find or to DIY (check out how I used tie-dye to refresh an old pair of shorts). If you’re looking to add this trendy yet retro vibe to your style this season, check out these super affordable and versatile pieces.

Animal Print

It started with leopard, then it was snake print, now even cows and zebras are getting in on this trend. The animal print trend has only been gaining in popularity since this past Fall and if you’ve yet to jump on this bandwagon, now’s a good time to start. Not only can you find plenty of affordable ways to incorporate this trend into your style, but you can do it pretty much head to toe. (Okay, maybe not head to toe all at once, I’m just saying you can find anything in an animal print). Shorts, leggings, shirts, dresses, swimsuits, accessories, shoes…there seem to be no limits to how you can wear this trend.

Bright Colors/ Neons

After this drab Winter, I am here for adding some color to my life. Why not start with my closet? Absolutely loving this trend. These super bright, super fun colors scream sunshine (something I desperately need by the end of Winter). I’m a firm believer that color can definitely have an impact on your mood and there’s no way anyone can be sad when wearing these bright hues. This is one trend I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of this year, so have some fun with color this season and brighten up your wardrobe with these super affordable pieces.

Feminine Details

Lace, ruffles, puffy sleeves, eyelet, crochet, pleats…these flirty and feminine details have been gaining in popularity lately. The Southern Belle in me is really loving this trend. (I mean, who doesn’t love a Scarlet O’Hara moment?) With this trend, there are so many ways to incorporate it into your own unique style. Keep it subtle with a simple puff sleeve or lace tee. Or, go ultra-flirty-and-feminine with pleated skirts and ruffled tops. I’ve seen this trend pop up pretty much everywhere recently, which makes it easy to find affordable options. (Well, unless you’re like me and have a hard time picking just a few to bring home).

Embellished Sandals

This is another trend that really started last Summer but has really picked up steam lately. Take a scroll through Instagram and you’re bound to come across a few pairs of sandals with some added sparkle. Whether it’s glitter, rhinestones, or studs, you can’t go wrong adding a little flair to your sandals. And while the most popular versions of these sandals don’t come cheap, there are dupes and alternatives that are much more budget-friendly.
