We’re seeing little hints of spring and it’s got me so excited for warmer days, sunshine, and flowers blooming. Of course, it’s also got me excited for all the new spring fashions! I’m already browsing current and upcoming trends, picking up some pieces I love and planning for other pieces I want to add to my closet. And I’m going to share it all with you! Read on to find out what I’m shopping for in spring 2022.

Boho & Western Accessories

The trend I’m most excited about this year? Western-inspired accessories!

The country girl in me loves that boho and western-style details are trending in a big way for spring. I’ve always been drawn to these types of styles and now it seems the rest of the fashion world has too. But you don’t have to buy an entirely new wardrobe to embrace this trend. Instead, opt for accessories with a western or boho flair to style staple pieces you already have in your closet.

The pieces I’m looking for this season are rancher hats with western and boho details, western boots and booties, statement belts with western buckles, and fun boho jewelry.

Skirts, skirts, and more skirts!

This ruffled lace skirt is one of my favorite recent purchases.

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t you should!) you’ve seen evidence of my skirt buying binge. Skirts have just been speaking to me lately and I’m really looking forward to styling them for the warmer weather. Last summer I fell in love with maxi skirts and dresses (I used to think I was too short to wear them) and I want to add more to my closet. But I’m also very in love with all the flirty, feminine mini skirts I’m seeing everywhere.

Curvy girl tip: Skirts and dresses aren’t always the most comfortable fashion choice for curvy girls when it’s hot outside. Especially if you live in the south like me and that heat comes with humidity. A good pair of slip shorts and a chafing stick can make a world of difference.

Graphic Tees

Dolly is the queen, so how could I resist this graphic tee?

Okay, okay, I know, when am I not shopping for graphic tees? But they’re one of my favorite clothing items to style. I even recently put together a fun styling Reel on Instagram styling a graphic t-shirt for different style personalities. But specifically for spring, I’m feeling drawn to graphic tees that showcase my southern roots as well as more vintage-inspired designs.

Strappy Sandals

These studded sandals were a favorite last year and it looks like they’re back for another season!

The braided sandal trend is going strong for spring, but I’m not really feeling it. Instead, I’m looking for sandals with a little more boho flair or edgy detail. The two styles I’m really loving right now are strappy, woodblock sandals and sleek sandals with embellished details.

I see both of these styles being versatile enough to pair with skirts, dresses, denim shorts, or jeans. And the woodblock heel also matches that boho vibe I’m loving this season.

Casual Sneakers

Another favorite shoe purchase from last year was these embroidered Keds sneakers! They’re not available any longer but Keds has so many other cute designs.

Of course, as much as I love dressing up, I also love a good casual style. I purchased a pair of Converse Shoreline sneakers in white several seasons ago and they’re still one of my most worn pairs of sneakers. I’d love to add a few other colors and styles of Converse to my closet. The embroidered floral Keds sneakers I purchased last summer for my Disney trip are also still a favorite of mine. They’re extremely comfortable and the silhouette makes them easy to style. Keds also does so many collaborations with brands like Kate Spade and Rifle Paper Co, so there’s a ton of cute designs to choose from.
