There’s nothing I love more than putting on some Christmas tunes and breaking out all of my holiday decor. And this year especially, I’m in serious need of some Christmas cheer. So Im getting a jump on the season by sharing some Holiday Home Decor Inspiration from a few of my favorite retailers for affordable home decor.

Plus, I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite tips for decorating on a budget!

Farmhouse Holiday Decor

Starting things off with my go-to decor style, Farmhouse! The country girl in me just never can say no to anything rustic, barn wood, whitewashed, or buffalo check.

Speaking of buffalo check, you’re probably seeing it everywhere this year. It’s definitely one of the biggest trends around this holiday season. Which is lucky for me since it means I can find it at all of my favorite stores.

Tip #1:

To get the look of full, lush greenery without spending a fortune on garland, intertwine 2-3 strands of inexpensive garland. You can also insert cheap floral picks to add color and texture.

Glam/Neutral Holiday Decor

Flocked Christmas trees have been increasingly trendy in recent years. And, with them, a break from traditional Christmas colors in favor of a more glam decor scheme.

White, gold, and silver decor are super popular with this style. And while shades of blue have had their moment in the past, this year blush and rose gold tones seem to be taking over.

Tip #2:

Adding ribbon to your tree is a great and inexpensive way to change up your decor scheme from year to year! I recommend choosing 2 or 3 complimentary ribbons (wired works best). Bonus tip: Instead of struggling to wrap an entire roll of ribbon around, cut the ribbon into sections about 12-18″ long and place them in a zig-zag style. (I’ll be sharing this on my Instagram)
